Notes from the founder

The story.

Why Saen Labs exists. Why vertical AI. Why immigration first. And what comes after.

I started Saen Labs after watching immigration consultants and applicants spend hours on visa forms that should take minutes. The same passport, the same bank statements, the same employment letters — re-typed into thirty-page government PDFs every time. The work is real, but most of the time spent doing it isn’t.

QkFill was the first vertical because I’d lived the problem firsthand. You shouldn’t need an expensive consultant to fill a form. You shouldn’t have to describe the same fact about yourself to ten different people. You shouldn’t need a workaround to open a government document. We solved each of those, one at a time, until QkFill could read your documents and fill the form on its own.

The thesis is simple. Horizontal AI is crowded — everyone is making a copilot, an agent, a chat. Vertical AI is open. The companies that win the next decade will be the ones that pick a single regulated, document-heavy industry and own it: read its forms, learn its rules, automate its workflow end to end. Immigration was first. Insurance, healthcare, real estate, legal, and government — these are next.

Saen Labs is the engine room. The same multi-tenant pipeline that powers QkFill is what we’ll teach each new vertical. New verticals start at 70% done because the foundation is shared. The brand on the customer’s side stays specific to the industry — QkFill for immigration, a different name for the next one. Saen Labs is the company; the products belong to their buyers.

We’re early. One vertical is live, five are mapped, and the company is still small. If you’re an operator inside a paperwork-heavy industry, an investor mapping vertical AI, or someone who wants to ship the next vertical with us — I’d love to hear from you.
